There is A LOT of music out there...most of it is merely drivel, but, if you look for it, there is some OUTSTANDING work to be found...for the seekers.

This podcast features some newer artists that i've been hearing about lately...and a few better established musicians that can still be found treasures to a fresh ear. So listen alertly and buy what you like at your area independant record store.

I did just that yesterday and walked away with a large stack of music. I purchased two artists featured on today's podcast; i bought The Like - "are you thinking what i'm thinking",and Trespassers William - "different stars". I also bought the newest efforts by Antony and the Johnsons, Cursive, Lemon Jelly and Sigur Ros, as well as On! Air! Library!...i purchased the newest sinead the other day and am still trying to figure out what i think about it...her voice is amazing as always...but a whole album of reggae?? i've been previewing the new liz phair and fiona apple to see if they are worthy...

So $80 later and i've been listening to free and legal tracks from the internet all morning...kind of like the little kid playing with the box on christmas day, eh?

Enjoy these very affordable, and i must say, high quality tracks...but buy what you like when you can...in the mean time, these should tide you over.
