Program number twenty-nine features some WIRED and WEIRD selections for your enjoyment. The first half of the program delves into the shoegaze sound I love so much and even includes a track by My Bloody Valentine. The last segment presents some wonderfully weird artists such as CocoRosie and Bjork.
I am so excited that there are more new female artists who hail KATE BUSH as a major influence. I can hear her clearly in such new artists as St. Vincent, Kate Havnevik and My Brightest Diamond. There is a St. Vincent track on this program; CD to be released in July. You might have seen her with Sufjan Stevens (who seems to be a feminist among male indie musicians). He has worked with so many talented and intelligent women (including My Brightest Diamond and Rosie Thomas). Kudos to Sufjan.
