Hello There Betty...

I just discovered your site via Totally Fuzzy. What a find. Now I have to play catch up. But thank you so much for posting these. Hopefully you included some Magik Markers somewhere :o)

St. Louis, huh? I grew up in that area...

Marvy indeed. I remember the aroma of the Mississippi...sled riding on a hill by the art museum in Forest Park when I was a kid...cursing the cold each winter. LOL I actually grew up across the river in that beautiful garden city of East St. Louis...on 73rd Street. But I spent a lot of time at my aunt's house on South Kingshighway, south of...Southwest High School? She lived above a store front next to Uncle Bill's Pancake House. Now we live where the weather is reasonable...Florida. What I remember best is the freeform radio...KDNA I believe. But alas, I'm sure that's gone the way of ClearChannel/Live Nation mediocrity. Ooops..gave away my advanced age, huh?

we have a great community radio station KDHX?? could that be the same one? my mom went to sw high school! she graduated in 69. forest park is still a lot of fun...and art hill is always full when snow falls. florida doesn't get that...but the proximity to the ocean would make up for it!

Hello Betty. It appears you have very good taste in music. I'll not assume you are already all over Rosie Thomas and The Innocence Mission. After you check them out, I know you will be.

I'm not sure if it is polite or greedy but I have downloaded all of your podcasts and burned them to disc so I can listen away from the computer. I enjoy most everything you play and find your voice to be quite sensual and soothing. No, I'm not weird...at least not in THAT way. LOL I'm a single guy who enjoys the "company" of an intelligent woman with more varied taste in music than "let's listen to the Killers again..." ARGHHH

If ONLY I could meet someone like you here in person. Sure...and if only the war would end, global warming would reverse, doctors would pay us to be patients and there was more food than people.

Keep up the good work.

anubis...thanks so much for the compliments...and yeah, it can be hard to find "real music" listeners - and, i'll be honest - esp. in women - i've met a number of cool folks through lala.com. you should check it out. and as far as meeting someone like me...i am one of kind, don't ya know! going to some great concerts is a great way to meet like-minded listeners. hey, if you want to talk further, follow the link on the page to my email...or i could just give it...duh...serafinafly@hotmail.com
Cheers! and i'm so glad you are enjoying the podcasts!
